Nature (Re)Connection in: French
In the woods or on the mountaintops, wide open spaces are part of my horizon, offering renewal and stimulating my creativity. In nature, I have always felt in my place, filled at once with energy and calm.
Trained as an engineer, I developed a strong attachment to the rigor of the scientific approach, to structured and structuring thinking. Viewing the world through the lens of science first led me to play with questioning. Allowing certain questions to arise within me made it possible to create spaces for growth, because I believe that asking the right question can sometimes be far more impactful than providing an answer.
By following UNature’s courses, I asked myself many questions: What is nature? How do I perceive it? How does my culture influence my relationship with it?
I then discovered that thousands of scientific studies have observed, examined, and demonstrated the benefits of regular contact with nature on our physical and mental health. Unfortunately, the results of these studies remain largely unknown, even though their insights represent one of the most effective and accessible solutions we have to face the multiple crises of our societies.
When I began these courses, I thought I would learn more about nature. What I discovered most of all was a great deal about humanity—and about what makes us human.
Could reconnecting with what makes us human not be the best way to preserve our planet, with nature guiding us along the way? I am convinced it is.
As a certified Nature (Re)Connection guide, I am deeply committed to sharing the benefits that nature can offer us with as many people as possible. Convinced of the need to reconcile our cognitive and sensory abilities, I see our forests as key allies in both understanding and experiencing our human nature—one that makes our species a full member of the community of the living.
