“Sens &Nature” Workshop
A Workshop Reconnecting Older Adults with Nature
September 2025 (Québec) : our former student Isabelle Houde (Art and Biophilia) developed and delivered the Sens & Nature workshop, an initiative specifically designed to provide older adults with access to the benefits of nature, particularly in residential care settings.
This workshop offers an accessible approach, without physical constraints or the need for travel, based on sensory exploration of natural elements: observing, touching, smelling, and listening. It enables participants to reconnect directly with nature, even in contexts where access to natural environments is limited.
A Project Supported by UNature
UNature provided financial support for this initiative as part of its ongoing efforts to promote more equitable access to nature, particularly for vulnerable populations or those with limited access to natural environments.
This support is part of a broader commitment to fostering concrete, community-driven projects and strengthening the impact of field-based initiatives.
